About us
Our industrial exhaust and flue gas treatment offer becomes Poujoulat Heating & Power by Beirens, No. 1 in Europe for the integration of turnkey exhaust systems in industrial processes, district heating and power generation.
Company
For more than 40 years, we have been integrating turnkey industrial exhaust solutions in France and around the world. Since 2010, we have been one of the pioneers of decarbonisation in France: we filter and recover industrial flue gases and vapours that have historically been released into the atmosphere. Our offer now carries the Poujoulat Heating & Power brand.
We are committed to putting people at the heart of our concerns. Numerous training courses are organised every year for our employees in order to pass on our recognised know-how. Recent investments in production facilities have also strengthened our leadership position, while improving the comfort and well-being of our employees.
Aware of today's climate and environmental challenges, BEIRENS is keen to support projects with the lowest possible carbon footprint.
With an international organisation, Poujoulat Heating & Power offers solutions and associated services throughout the world and in all business sectors. We currently have more than 30,000 references worldwide.
Production facilities
Located in the heart of the Centre-Val de Loire region, in Buzançais, Poujoulat Heating & Power by Beirens has a production facility covering 42,000 m² under roof. As one of the largest industrial exhaust plants in Europe, we carry out in-line production of industrial chimneys, ducts, silencers and condensers/scrubbers on 100-metre-long bays. From preparation to finishing, our team uses modern equipment that ensures safety and quality at every stage of production.
Every year, Poujoulat Heating & Power by Beirens devotes a significant budget to acquiring state-of-the-art equipment. The PERF 2025 project aims to increase production capacity, develop the skills of our teams and train new employees.

BEIRENS' technological advances are based on our Research & Development and Quality, Safety & Environment departments, as well as on the expertise of the CÉRIC laboratory, CETIM and partner laboratories specialising in gas dynamics, structural vibration and acoustics.
With 30 years of expertise, the CÉRIC laboratory is the leading European laboratory for chimneys and sustainable energy. COFRAC-accredited, CÉRIC carries out tests on fuels and combustion, as well as coupling tests of the “appliance – fuel – flue system” combination. Our research focuses on energy efficiency and reducing polluting emissions.
The CÉRIC laboratory has equipment unrivalled in Europe: 550 m² of floor space with a biomass boiler room and six test halls (mechanical, thermal, aeraulic and combustion). More than 4,000 tests are carried out there every year as part of quality monitoring and the continuous improvement of the group's products.
Quality, safety & environment
Developing innovative solutions
Our Quality, Safety & Environment department continuously works on new safety certifications for all our products and services. The BEIRENS production site is ISO 9001 certified and the products manufactured comply with the CE standards in force.
Reducing environmental impact
As a member of the Syndicat des Énergies Renouvelables and the Comité Interprofessionnel du Bois Énergie, BEIRENS is committed to reducing its environmental impact: waste recovery, sorting and recycling of plastics, metals, cardboard, paper and wood. To reduce its carbon footprint, the site is heated by a biomass boiler and LED lighting is favoured.
Preventing risks
Safety at work is everyone's business and is monitored daily by the Quality, Safety & Environment department. Several initiatives have been set up to minimise the risk of accidents on site: a weekly newsletter informing and reminding employees of safety rules, and a zero-accident plan.
Training
To keep pace with changes in standards, legislation and technology, BEIRENS runs an extensive training programme for all its employees every year.
In partnership with professional training organisations such as AFPI, AFPA, GRETA and the Indre Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BEIRENS has the skills required to fully master the rules of the trade. BEIRENS also has its own training school.
BEIRENS has always favoured apprenticeships to train its future employees. Many workshop managers, welders, boilermakers, IT specialists, sales staff and project managers have benefited from this route while studying for their qualifications: more than 40 apprentices have been trained.
The BEIRENS training plan is based on 3 main areas:
“Workshop” training
Overhead cranes, forklift trucks, welding, etc.
“Site” training
Operating site machinery, chemical risk prevention, scaffolding, working at height, first aid at work, etc.
“Trade” training
Trade knowledge, generators, standards and regulations, etc.
